January Ward Panel Meeting : Wed 28 Jan 18:30 |

|
Good afternoon Residents and shareholders,
I hope you are well.
At our upcoming January ward panel meeting, planned for Wednesday 28th of January 18:30-20:30Hrs at Loughborough Community Centre at Max Roach Wiltshire Rd, London SW9 7NE, we will have our annual review as well as our vote for the roles of Chair, Vice chair and secretary.
At the end of October, I sent round a note on the Panel and its roles from our current Chair, Diana, along with a copy of the Ward Panel handbook. Diana had said she would step down as Chair but has now said she would stand for the coming year to aid succession planning.
So, as it currently stands only 2 people have come forward for these roles. Diana Linskey for the role of Chair, and Michelle Killington for the role of Vice chair. If anyone else wishes to stand please let me know by 30 December. We would really love it if someone, or perhaps 2 to share the role, could put themselves forward for the role of secretary. The role of a secretary is to assist the chair and panel with administration and keeping a record of each meeting. Please do contact me or Diana if you are interested.
We also need to compile a list of people including those who are already members of the Panel who wish to be designated ward panel members again for this year. Members, as per the handbook would attend quarterly meetings and have the ability to vote for the chair and also then vote on issues such as the promises/priorities if they cannot be agreed. If you wish to be nominated as a member of the panel or wish to nominate someone please contact me. You are also welcome to attend as a non-ward panel member however you would not be able to vote if, for example, we had more than one nominee for Chair, or Vice Chair.
This email has been sent to our mailing list, if you believe someone is missing or who would find this relevant and of interest please do send me their email address and I can forward this to them as well as add them onto the list of members that we send our ward panel invitations to.
The agenda for this meeting and minutes from the last meeting will be sent out closer to the date of the meeting. If you have any question please do let me know.
Many thanks,
Kind regards Jack
What is a Ward Panel?
A Ward Panel is a community-led group where local residents meet regularly with our Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) made up of dedicated police officers and PCSOs assigned to your area. Ideally chaired by a volunteer, the panel reviews local crime trends and discusses issues like antisocial behaviour, crime, or safety concerns. Together, we set priorities and action plans to address what matters most to you.
